Discover gifts, build skills and gain confidence with the S.O.A.R Program
SOAR helps students discover and develop their God-given gifts while building life skills. Through partnerships with professionals and real-world experiences, students gain early exposure to their areas of interest. Sonrise provides opportunities for spiritual, personal, and professional growth, equipping students with confidence, wisdom, and hands-on experience. Graduates leave prepared to impact the world for Christ. During their four years at Sonrise, students will have the opportunity to meet with and learn from real professionals across a wide range of fields. These experiences will include on-site visits, guest speakers, and shadow days designed to give students firsthand insight into various careers. Fields may include nursing, sports medicine, business, education, law enforcement, church ministry, construction, counseling, and more. These are some of the personal skills students will develop in our high school program:
Year 1: Freshmen
Discover purpose through faith, leadership, life skills, and self-awareness in the SOAR freshman experience.
Year 1: Freshmen will have a class 4 days a week dedicated to the SOAR program. In this class, called “Finding Yourself”, students will explore a variety of methods designed to discover the talents and skills God gave them and how they can use these gifts to find their calling. Through personality tests, talent exploration, leadership lessons, biblical study, career investigations, sharpening life skills and hearing from a range of guest speakers, students will take the first steps towards discovering who God made them to be.
