At Sonrise Christian High School, we’re not just building a high school – we’re building a community. One of the most exciting parts of our launch is the creation of The Hub, a dedicated student center designed just for our high school students. This space will be the heartbeat of student life: a place to gather, study, laugh, relax, and grow together.
Located on the west side of our main campus, The Hub will serve as a central hangout spot where students can connect with friends, attend chapel, get picked up and dropped off, enjoy lunch, or simply unwind between classes. We believe students need a place that feels like theirs; a space where they can be themselves, build relationships, and create lasting memories.
Renovations for The Hub are already in motion! After completing all the prep work, our amazing partners at Woodlands General Contractors stepped in to help bring the vision to life.
They painted the entire space, laid down sleek new carpet squares, and installed modern honeycomb-style hexagon lighting, already giving the room a fresh and welcoming atmosphere. Now, we’re entering the fun part: bringing it all to life. In the coming weeks, we’ll be adding comfortable couches, modern tables and chairs, LED lighting, smart TVs, and fun features like air hockey and foosball tables. This isn’t just a lounge; it’s a launchpad for friendships, student events, study sessions, and spiritual growth.
The Hub will also be used for small group chapels, collaborative class projects, leadership team meetings, and social hangouts. Our goal is to create a vibrant, Christ-centered environment where students feel seen, supported, and inspired.
We’re so excited to share this journey with you. As we continue to transform this space, we’ll be posting updates on Instagram. We can’t wait to open the doors and welcome our inaugural high school class into their new home. Whether they’re grabbing lunch, meeting with friends, or preparing for a project, we want students to walk into The Hub and instantly feel like they belong. This is more than a renovation, it’s the start of something special.
